Suno has hired Michael Chua from Ticketmaster as Vice President and General Manager of Suno Live Experiences.

In the role, Chua will lead the AI music company’s live music operations, which include concert discovery platform Songkick.

Suno acquired Songkick from Warner Music Group in November 2025, as part of the licensing agreement that settled WMG’s copyright lawsuit against the company.

Chua says he sees an opportunity at Suno to help artists “take a song from the first idea to the stage, and bring their fans along the whole way.”

According to Suno, the live experiences team will work on connecting Songkick’s discovery platform with what Suno calls its “creative entertainment platform.”

The team will also look to improve Songkick‘s concert recommendations so that fans attend more shows, the company said.

“As Suno builds tools that help musicians create, reach fans and build lasting careers, live music has to be part of that,” said Chua. “I see an incredible opportunity at Suno to help artists take a song from the first idea to the stage, and bring their fans along the whole way.

“Bringing Suno and Songkick together opens up new possibilities to better connect artists and fans and ultimately create entirely new experiences that couldn’t have existed before Suno’s industry-leading tools.”

Chua joins Suno from Ticketmaster, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, where he was Vice President of Global Business Development and Strategic Partnerships.

According to Suno, he built product partnerships at Ticketmaster with companies including Google, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, and Snap.

Those partnerships allowed fans to discover events and buy tickets without visiting Ticketmaster‘s own website or app.

Suno says Chua has more than ten years of experience in live music.

He was named on Variety‘s list of 10 AAPI Music Executives Making an Impact in 2024.

“We’re building the first creative entertainment platform, and live music is a pivotal part of that,” said Paul Sinclair, Chief Music Officer at Suno.

“A central focus of our live experiences team will be helping emerging artists, like those in our Spark program, an incubator program designed to help independent artists bring their music projects to life and more easily create live experiences.

“Michael has spent his career at the intersection of tech and live music and I’m excited to build this team with his support.”

Suno launched Spark, its incubator for unsigned independent artists, on June 25.

According to the company, artists selected for Spark receive a grant, additional marketing funding, and invitations to work with established artists at Suno’s writing camps.

Sinclair, previously General Manager and Executive Vice President of Atlantic Records, joined Suno as Chief Music Officer in July 2025.

Suno says the music team he leads includes former leaders from Atlantic Records, Spotify, YouTube, Meta, Amazon Music, Patreon, Snap, Motown Records, Capitol Records, and Sony.

The team also includes managers who have worked with artists including Charlie Puth, Portugal. The Man, Miguel, Usher, Vince Staples, and André 3000, according to Suno.

Chua‘s appointment follows a job listing posted by Suno in late April for a General Manager of Songkick.

The listing, which said the role would report to Sinclair, called for the new hire to “develop and execute an integration roadmap that connects Songkick’s live music graph with Suno’s artist and creation ecosystem.”

On April 30, emails sent to Songkick users confirmed that their personal data would be transferred to Suno, which would become the “controller” of that data.

According to the email, sent by Songkick operator SK Acquisition Ltd, the data included users’ account details, as well as their artist and location preferences.

Suno has also moved into physical products this year.

In August, the company opened a waitlist for Suno Vinyl, a service that presses songs made on its platform onto 12-inch records.

In September, MBW spotted a Suno merchandise storefront marked “Coming soon,” powered by creator commerce platform Fourthwall.

Suno raised more than $400 million in June at a $5.4 billion valuation.

The company says more than 100 million people have used its platform.

On September 9, Suno launched its v6 models in partnership with Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe.

Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment filed a second copyright lawsuit against Suno in Boston federal court on September 18.

The complaint accuses Suno of copying 60,202 of the two companies’ sound recordings without a license.

Universal and Sony are also still pursuing their original case against Suno, filed in June 2024.

Suno said in a statement that the claims “remain fundamentally flawed on both the facts and the law.”Music Business Worldwide
