Across nine sites, The Local has become the go-to news source for international residents across Europe. We’ve built a solid social media presence of tens of thousands — and it’s growing fast.
We’re looking for someone to help us sustainably grow our social media audience into a thriving, engaged community.
What you’ll do
You’ll primarily promote our original journalism on social media.
You’ll interact with readers and highlight potential for new articles to our editors.
You’ll work with our Community Engagement Manager to develop a strategy for boosting our overall audience.
What we’re looking for
We’ll need someone for around 20 hours a week on a semi-flexible freelance basis, but it may lead to more full-time work.
The ideal candidate will have experience in social media and community engagement and ideally some editorial experience.
Knowledge of other European languages would be preferred, but not necessary.
