The Trojans starters include five-star edge rusher Luke Wafle alongside four-stars in tight end Mark Bowman, cornerback Elbert Hill, and wide receivers Trent Mosley and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt. Four of the five rank inside 247Sports‘ top-90 prospects nationally.
As a top national recruit, Wafle is expected to make an immediate impact on newly hired defensive coordinator Gary Patterson’s defense. During his senior season of high school, he recorded 99 total tackles and broke a school record with 23 sacks and 37 tackles for loss.
Riley has a proven track record of getting true freshman wide receivers involved early. From CeeDee Lamb to Zachariah Branch, his offense allows elite young playmakers to thrive immediately, but most importantly develop at a high level.
