Azerbaijan hosts national championships in acrobatic and aerobic gymnastics (PHOTO)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. The 31st
Azerbaijan National Championship in acrobatic gymnastics and the
10th National Championship in aerobic gymnastics were held on Aug.
19-20 at the Yardimli Olympic Sports Complex.

The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation said gymnasts from various
age categories competed for national championship titles.

The acrobatic gymnastics program featured balance, tempo and
combined exercises for children, juniors, youth and adults.

Balance and tempo exercises were held on the first day, while
combined exercises took place on the second day.

The competitions drew strong interest from spectators in
Yardimli. The venue was packed, with large crowds cheering and
applauding the gymnasts throughout their performances, creating a
lively atmosphere and providing additional motivation for the
athletes.

In the women’s pairs event among children, the BGM 3 team,
comprising Ilaha Ahmadova and Fidan Gurbanova, won gold. The BGM 1
team, comprising Madina Mammadli and Melisa Mammadova, took silver,
while the Neftchi 3 team, comprising Madina Bagizada and Daphne
Isazade, won bronze.

In the women’s groups event among juniors, first place went to
the BGM 4 team, comprising Ayan Hajili, Aylin Mammadova and Firuza
Gasimzada. The BGM 3 team, comprising Aisha Alicanova, Canan
Khalilzada and Zahra Aghaverdiyeva, won silver, while the BGM 1
team, comprising Aziza Aliyeva, Nazrin Hasanovna and Kamilla
Tasoyeva, took bronze.




The championship also featured competitions in aerobic
gymnastics.

On Aug. 20, athletes competed in individual, trio, mixed pairs
and group events in various aerobic gymnastics programs.

In the women’s individual event among youth, Ayan Aghayeva won
gold, while Fidan Ibrahimova took silver and Amina Mustafayeva won
bronze.

Yardimli District Executive Authority head Ayaz Asgarov
presented the winners with medals and diplomas at the awards
ceremony.

The two-day national championships provided an opportunity for
gymnasts to demonstrate their level of preparation, technical
skills and teamwork.
