Keenan Allen isn’t ready to call it a career just yet. The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is set to return for his 14th NFL season.

Allen, 34, is signing a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, the IndyStar reported late Monday. The deal is reportedly expected to be worth up to $8.32 million.

Allen will now reunite with Colts head coach Shane Steichen. The two share a long history together from their time with the Los Angeles Chargers, where Steichen was an offensive assistant coach for seven of the first eight seasons of Allen’s career. Steichen was promoted to offensive coordinator in the 2020 season, when Allen recorded 100 receptions and eight receiving touchdowns.

In addition to his six Pro Bowl selections over a 13-season career, Allen has recorded six 1,000-yard receiving seasons to build an impressive résumé. While he has spent the vast majority of his career with the Chargers, Allen also spent the 2024 season with the Chicago Bears.

The Colts are the third franchise stop of Allen’s career. He’s set to join a receiving room headlined by Josh Downs and Alec Pierce, joining a team that relatively lacked depth at the position. Pierce has also been sidelined through the opening weeks of training camp due to an ankle injury.

Allen is coming off a productive season with the Chargers, where he filled a similar role to what is expected with the Colts. Even without being the top option on offense, Allen was able to haul in 81 receptions for 777 yards and four touchdowns.
