Von Miller is returning to Texas to play for his hometown team.
The two-time Super Bowl champion is expected to sign with the Dallas Cowboys, adding an experienced pass rusher to their defense, according to ESPN.
Miller unofficially confirmed the move on social media, sharing a graphic of himself in a Cowboys uniform on his official X account.
Miller, an eight-time Pro Bowler who grew up in DeSoto, Texas, comes to the Cowboys after spending last season with the Washington Commanders. During his year in Washington, the edge rusher recorded nine sacks while playing in seventeen regular-season games.
The move keeps Miller in the NFC East while adding historic production to the roster.
In 203 career regular-season games, he has accumulated 138.5 sacks, 27 forced fumbles and 9 fumble recoveries. Miller was also the Super Bowl 50 MVP and a three-time first-team All-Pro. He is the active NFL leader in career sacks with 138.5.
Miller joins a Cowboys team that has sky-high expectations entering this season, as is always the case in Dallas. With a revamped defense and Dak Prescott, who led the league in passing yards last season with 4,552 yards, under center, the Cowboys have a 9.5-win total, but are favored in 11 games.
