
BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. A new secretary of
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has been appointed.
This was reported by Mohammad Mehdi Tabatabaei, head of the
presidential administration’s public relations office, on his X
page.
According to him, former IRGC commander and adviser to Iran’s
Supreme Leader Mohsen Rezaei has been appointed to the
position.
“In connection with the resignation of Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr
from the post of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council
and his acceptance of a new position, by decree of the President of
the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, Mohsen Rezaei has
been appointed Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council,”
he wrote.
