
Chinese smart electric vehicle (EV) maker XPENG on Friday said it will enter the Philippine market in the third quarter of 2026 through XPENG Philippines, a direct subsidiary of the company, as it bids to support the country’s transition to greener mobility.
In a statement, the company said it will introduce two smart EV models as its initial lineup. Further details on the vehicles and their official launch will be announced closer to their market debut.
XPENG Philippines aims to offer premium, AI-driven smart EVs designed to provide an intelligent driving experience for Filipino motorists, the company said.
XPENG is a global artificial intelligence and technology company focused on smart EVs. It designs, develops, manufactures, and markets electric vehicles equipped with its in-house advanced driver-assistance system, intelligent in-car operating system, and other core vehicle technologies.
The company currently operates in more than 60 countries and regions across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Latin America. It has more than 380 overseas stores and regional hubs in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Thailand, and Mexico.
