Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has died at the age of 74.
The announcement was made by the Amiri Diwan on the social media
platform X.
According to the official statement, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
passed away on Sunday morning. The Amiri Diwan described his death
as a great loss for the country.
Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani led Qatar for 18 years and is the
father of the current emir.
