Thousands of Iranians from Belgium to join the Free Iran Rally in Paris

On Saturday 20 June, the Free Iran Community in Belgium — representing tens of Iranian associations and organisations across Brussels, Flander and Wallonia — joined more than 100,000 freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of democracy at the Free Iran Rally in Paris.

Thousands of Iranians from Belgium travelled to Paris with one clear message: Iran’s future belongs to its people not to the mullahs, not to the Shah, and not to any foreign power.

We went to Paris to stand with the brave women, youth, workers, students, teachers, pensioners and the heroic Resistance Units inside Iran who, despite executions, torture, prisons and bullets, continue to rise for freedom. Their courage is our call to action. Their call is our responsibility.

For decades, the Iranian people have rejected dictatorship in all its forms. They overthrew the Shah’s tyranny, and today they are rising against the clerical dictatorship. The message from inside Iran is clear: No Shah, No Mullah — Yes to a democratic republic.

The regime in Tehran is drowning in crises. It answers the people’s demands with executions. It responds to protests with repression. It tries to survive through war, terrorism, blackmail and fear. But it has a major problem. The Iranian people are no longer afraid, and the regime knows it.

From Belgium, we say to European leaders: enough silence, enough hesitation, enough appeasement. Human rights must be at the centre of any policy towards Iran. Executions must stop. The IRGC must be held accountable. And Europe must recognise the Iranian people’s right to resist tyranny and determine their own future.

Belgium wias present. Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Liège, Charleroi and communities across the country will raise their voices as one.

We went to Paris not only to protest, but to show the path forward.
Not only to denounce dictatorship, but to display the democratic alternative.

We support Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan for Free Iran that calls for a secular republic based on gender equality, abolition of the death penalty, rights for minorities and a nuclear-free Iran.

The people of Iran have made their choice:
No to any kind of dictatorship, be it a shah or a mullah.

Yes to Freedom, Democracy, Equality, in democratic republic in Iran.
