The Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup in back-to-back years, hoisting the trophy in both 2024 and 2025.

A team has not three-peated the Stanley Cup since the Islanders won four straight from 1980-1983.

But with the Panthers out of playoff contention and a three-peat off the table, a new team will be named champion at the end of the postseason.

Which team will it be?

Let’s take a look at the 2026 Stanley Cup odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of May 5.

2025-26 Stanley Cup winner

Hurricanes: +170 (bet $10 to win $27 total)
Avalanche: +190 (bet $10 to win $29 total)
Golden Knights: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
Sabres: +1100 (bet $10 to win $120 total)
Canadiens: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
Wild: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)
Ducks: +4500 (bet $10 to win $460 total)
Flyers: +7000 (bet $10 to win $710 total)

The Favorites: The Hurricanes are the new favorites, shortening to +170 from +285 after going up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference second round over Philadelphia. Carolina swept Ottawa in Round 1, led by outstanding goaltender Frederik Anderson. Right behind them are the Avalanche, who became the first team of the 2026 season to clinch their playoff spot after defeating the Blackhawks on March 20. And center Nathan MacKinnon has been a huge part of the team’s success this season. During the regular season, he led Colorado in points (127), with 53 goals and 74 assists. Before the season, the Avalanche were +900 to hoist the Stanley Cup.

Ones to Watch: Before the season started, the Sabres were long shots at +10000 to win the Stanley Cup. Now Buffalo has the fourth-best odds to be the last team standing. Buffalo’s odds held steady at +1100 after getting past Boston in the first round 4-2.
