The weekly chart of Titan shows resistance at current levels. Can you suggest entry and exit levels for futures short positions? – Saravanan Na, Namakkal

Titan Company (₹4,179.20): The stock has been in a long-term uptrend, and the recent leg began in September last year against the support at ₹3,300. After facing some moderation in the second half of January, the price has moved up again. Notably, it hit a record high of ₹4,378.40 on February 11. So, a short position will be a bet against the prevailing trend.

Yes, the weekly chart shows that last week’s candlestick is a bearish pin bar, and the stock appears to be struggling to get a daily close above ₹4,300. However, any decline in price from the current level can be short-lived.

That said, if you have high risk tolerance and are used to counter trend trades, you can short futures on a rise to ₹4,250 for a better risk-reward ratio. Target and stop-loss can be ₹4,050 and ₹4,390 respectively.
