The mission of this event is to champion vocational training through artistic projects, realised with the participation of apprentices from various professional fields in the canton o Geneva, and in close collaboration with their teachers and training companies.
Rabadan Carnival, Bellinzona, Feb 12th- February 17th
This event, officially described as ‘foolish,’ takes place over six days and nights in the fictional kingdom of King Rabadan.
In addition to parades, concerts, and rope pulling tournaments, risotto and luganighe (pork sausages) are distributed in the old town of Ticino’s capital city.
The Cold Festival, La Brévine (Neuchâtel), February 7th and February 8th
This aptly named event (because it takes place in Switzerland’s coldest region), brings together thousands of (warmly dressed) visitors from all over the country.

Winter Acts, Leukerbad (Bern), February 6th and February 20th
On these two days, the Panorama Bar in the Torrent ski area will morph into a stage, featuring DJs and live performances.
White Turf race, St. Moritz, Graubünden, February 8th, 15th, and 22nd
The Alpine town’s frozen lake will transform into a racetrack, where jockeys on noble thoroughbred horses will showcase fast-paced gallop, trotting races, as well as the famous Skikjöring, where skiers are pulled by bareback horses at high speeds.

The biggest and most famous of Switzerland’s carnivals will begin – literally with a bang – at 4 am on February 23rd, for two days and nights of merrymaking.

Art on Ice, Zurich, February 26th to March 7th
Held at the city’s largest venue, the Hallenstadion, this spectacular ice-skating show combines performances of the world’s best figure skaters with music performed of international music stars.
