BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 12. An earthquake was
recorded in the Shamakhi region, 9 kilometers south of the Pirgulu
station, Trend
reports.
According to the Republican Seismological Survey Center of the
Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the tremor occurred
at 3:07 a.m. local time.
The magnitude 3 earthquake had an epicenter at a depth of 8
kilometers. No tremors were felt by the population.
