Zelenskiy spoke as he received a report from his top negotiator, Rustem Umerov, who had a call on Friday with Trump’s special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The US representatives have been in touch with Russia recently in “some kind of format,” Zelenskiy said, adding that he doesn’t know whether Witkoff or Kushner will travel to Russia soon for in-person meetings.
