Akzo Nobel India, which was taken over by JSW Paints, has appointed Parth Jindal, Managing Director, JSW Paints and JSW Cements, as Chairman.

The proposal, which came into effect from Friday, was approved by the board, subject to approval of the shareholders of the company.

The company has also appointed Shantanu Maharaj Khosla on the Board as an Independent Director with immediate effect till January 8, 2029.

Rajiv Rajgopal has been redesignated as Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer from his current position of the Chairman and Managing Director.

Last December, JSW Paints completed the acquisition of Akzo Nobel India by acquiring a majority stake of 60.76 per cent from Akzo Nobel NV and its affiliates.
