Both the Lions and Vikings are hoping that Santa Claus left them a victory under their Christmas tree this year, but Detroit certainly needs more.

The Lions are fighting for their playoff lives on Thursday, needing to win out in order to get back to the postseason for a third-straight year. The Vikings, meanwhile, were knocked out of playoff contention a couple of weeks ago, but have won three straight ahead of the holiday matchup. However, quarterback J.J. McCarthy will miss Thursday’s game with an injury, perhaps giving the Lions a bit of an early Christmas gift.

Will the Lions get the win they desperately need, or will the Vikings play spoiler on Christmas Day? Follow along for highlights here.
