Ras Al Khaimah is preparing its most ambitious New Year’s Eve celebration to date, with plans for the biggest firework ever launched as part of an attempt to set a new world record.

This year’s celebrations are built around a creative concept inspired by symbols of strength, renewal, and Ras Al Khaimah’s spirit of progress, combining innovative fireworks with illuminated drones and lasers to transform the night sky on an unprecedented scale.

The 15-minute New Year’s Eve show will rank among the most expansive fireworks displays globally, stretching across six kilometres from Marjan Island to Al Hamra.

More than 2,300 drones, including pyro and laser drones, will illuminate the sky with large-scale formations.

As the clock strikes midnight, the celebrations will culminate with the launch of the largest single firework ever seen.

Ras Al Khaimah’s New Year’s Eve programme will feature two fireworks displays. The first will take place above Corniche Al Qawasim at 8pm. At midnight, the emirate’s signature 15-minute show will take centre stage, combining advanced pyrotechnics with large-scale drone formations over Marjan Island and Al Hamra bay.

Taking place at Al Hamra, the free-entry Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Festival will welcome residents and visitors from 2pm, offering live entertainment, food trucks, and carnival-style activities for the whole family ahead of the midnight spectacle.

The New Year festival stage will feature an international line-up of performers. Multiple parking zones will be available around the festival area, including a dedicated zone for caravans and camping.

Event goers are required to register their vehicles in advance at www.raknye.com to access their preferred parking zone and receive essential information on entry and exit routes. Advanced vehicle registration is mandatory for visitors and will determine which parking zone they are able to access.
