The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has started transferring 9,000-baht flood-relief payments today (Dec 4) to assist more than 368,000 households affected by recent severe flooding across five southern provinces. The total funding allocated for this round of support amounts to 3.312 billion baht.

The payments have been issued to help ease financial pressure on families impacted by the floods and to support early recovery across both urban and rural areas in the hardest-hit provinces.

The compensation covers 84,992 households in Songkhla province (excluding Hat Yai district), and 22,631 households in Hat Yai district. In Trang, 298 households are receiving support, while 217,238 households in Nakhon Si Thammarat—the most affected province—are also included.

An additional 40,742 households in Pattani and 2,198 in Yala are receiving assistance. All transfers are processed directly to recipients to ensure fast, efficient delivery.
